Griffitt Residence

The Griffitt Residence was designed for a steeply sloping site at Lake Lotawana, Missouri. The building maintains a compact footprint and organizes its main living spaces on the upper levels to take advantage of spectacular views of the lake. The building establishes its special character from the moment that one enters the steel-structured footbridge that provides entry to the home. Our clients were committed to the goals of sustainable design, and the residence utilizes renewable energy from active solar and geo-thermal technologies. The building is detailed with a thorough and consistent level of finish reflecting the goal of creating a low-maintenance residence without sacrificing richness and comfort.
